Last week, Hack Library School started a series of posts about different LIS programs around the country. The first school represented was UA SLIS (woohoo!). Lauren Dodd did an excellent job detailing SLIS and its strengths. Since she was an on-campus student, she didn’t have the experience with the DE cohorts. However, Rhonna, and April chimed in with great comments about the camaraderie of the cohorts and the dynamic setting Wimba provides (in spite of its flaws, it is still highly preferable to the standard discussion-board-only online classes. I’ve got friends taking classes like that for other programs and they hate it). Yay UA SLIS.
